Centered on Taipei Magazine: Gentle Birthing in Taipei

Check out my ‘Gentle Birthing in Taipei’ article in the Sepember 2012 issue of Centered on Taipei, where I relate my personal experience of the benefits of using a doula from the Taiwan Doula Association during childbirth.   Giving birth doesn’t have to be traumatic, and thankfully there are gentle birthing options in Taiwan.

Also check out the interview of Canadian doula Angela Chang by Katrina Brown and Kath Liu, in the same issue on the opposite page.

About taiwanxifu

‘Taiwanxifu’ (pronounced ‘shee foo’) means ‘Taiwan daughter-in-law’ in Chinese and has been my nickname ever since I married my Taiwanese husband, Sam. I love sampling Taiwanese food, even local specialties such as stinky tofu, pigs blood cake and Taipei beef noodle soup with offal. But there are many other options on the menu. Promise!
