Jodie’s Kitchen: Centered on Taipei magazine

Feb2013_coverThe February issue of Centered on Taipei magazine is now out.  Read my article page 17 about my experience at Jodie’s Kitchen: a unique cooking school set high up on Elephant Mountain.

And also see my previous blog post about her recipe for sesame paste, a key ingredient in making Sichuan sesame sauce for dressing cold noodles.  But that’s not the only use for sesame paste: you can use it as a dipping sauce for vegetables, noodles and even fruit.

About taiwanxifu

‘Taiwanxifu’ (pronounced ‘shee foo’) means ‘Taiwan daughter-in-law’ in Chinese and has been my nickname ever since I married my Taiwanese husband, Sam. I love sampling Taiwanese food, even local specialties such as stinky tofu, pigs blood cake and Taipei beef noodle soup with offal. But there are many other options on the menu. Promise!
