Is the Shin Yeh 101 too touristy to be writing about?
Shin Yeh is a great restaurant. All of their restaurants are of a consistently good standard, but their restaurant on Taipei 101 is best known because it has such an amazing view. I went there once, but was busy balancing our (then) baby so didn’t take many photos. A tip for people who plan to visit: the best seats are by the glass but most private rooms are inside and don’t have a view. One thing I was impressed about — we forgot a baby blanket, and as soon as we got to the lobby the restaurant had phoned ahead to tell the guards. They rushed someone down with it so that we wouldn’t be kept waiting. Real service.
