Australia Food Festival at Jasons Supermarkets

I thought I would post this in case there are any Antipodeans in Taipei who are craving some Aussie flavours.

The Australian Trade Commission (Austrade) is sponsoring an Australia Food Fair, which will take place at Jasons Supermarkets in Taiwan from 8 to 28 April.  (Jasons’ Taipei 101 store will be closed for renovations until early June, but the promotion will run at its six other stores.)

The promotion will include over 300 Australian food & beverage products including: ·

  • Australian meat including wagyu, organic beef and lamb
  • Fresh produce such as crimson seedless grapes, potatoes, and carrots
  • Carman’s muesli bar, Freedom Food & Norganic’s breakfast cereal
  • Bulla yogurt, frozen yogurt & Jalna yogurt
  • Juice from Apple Tree & Juicy Isle
  • So Natural’s soy milk & rice milk
  • Vetta pasta & pasta sauces
  • Sarah Lee frozen cakes & deserts
  • Macadamia shortbread
  • Borland, Pinnacle, Harvest Gold products
  • Mamma Lusia fruit cheese
  • Black Swan dips
  • The Curry Maker’s curry sauces
  • Aristocrat & Rosella’s pickles and sauces
  • Australian beer & wines

There will be discounts for many of the Australian products featured during the promotion.  And if you spend over NTD500 you can go in the running to win one of 30 food baskets valued at NTD1000.

About taiwanxifu

‘Taiwanxifu’ (pronounced ‘shee foo’) means ‘Taiwan daughter-in-law’ in Chinese and has been my nickname ever since I married my Taiwanese husband, Sam. I love sampling Taiwanese food, even local specialties such as stinky tofu, pigs blood cake and Taipei beef noodle soup with offal. But there are many other options on the menu. Promise!
